At College Map Mentor, we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every student we work with is at a different stage of their journey, and our services are designed to meet them exactly where they are, and then we build from there.
We work with students from 9th grade through the end of their senior year, offering comprehensive, personalized support at every step. The earlier we start together, the more we can accomplish.
No matter what grade your student is in, every College Map Mentor client receives access to our dedicated Client Portal - a private, organized hub for tasks, meeting notes, their Academic Organizer, and other resources. It's where accountability lives between our sessions.
These are the foundational years, and they matter more than most families realize. We use this time to build good habits, strong transcripts, and a clear sense of direction before the pressure of junior and senior year arrives.
Every 9th and 10th-grade client receives:
Meetings: 4 meetings per year, approximately 1–2 hours each, typically scheduled quarterly around report cards
Academic Organizer: our proprietary organizational spreadsheet to keep your student on track
Transcript analysis: a thorough review to verify that credits are correctly entered and recorded
Executive function coaching: time management, study skills, self-advocacy, and accountability
Academic course planning and advising: making sure your student is in the right classes for their goals
Extracurricular and summer activity planning: building a meaningful profile beyond the classroom
Career and major exploration: assessments and conversations to help students begin thinking about direction
Standardized test preparation guidance: study plans and strategies for the PSAT and SAT
Unlimited emails and texts: because questions don't wait for scheduled meetings
Junior year is when everything accelerates. In addition to everything included in 9th and 10th grade, 11th grade clients receive:
Dual enrollment guidance: navigating concurrent college coursework opportunities
"Best Fit" college list development: a thoughtful, personalized list with an honest assessment of chances at each school
College fair and college visit guidance: how to make the most of every campus experience
Common App essay guidance: early brainstorming and direction for the centerpiece of the application
Project management and timeline creation: a clear, organized roadmap for the entire application process
Resume assistance: building a polished document that reflects everything your student has accomplished
Monthly scholarship bulletins: curated opportunities delivered directly to you each month
LinkedIn guidance and profile review: establishing a professional presence early
Senior year is where everything comes together. In addition to all services provided in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade, 12th grade clients receive:
Common App essay guidance and review: detailed, iterative feedback until the essay is ready
Supplemental and scholarship essay guidance and review: every school-specific essay, polished and purposeful
STARS/SPARK guidance and review: full support for Florida-specific scholarship applications
Interview preparation and coaching: for schools and programs that require it
FAFSA and CSS Profile guidance: navigating financial aid with clarity and confidence
College decision guidance: helping your student make the right choice, not just the most impressive one
College credit transferability assessment: making sure no earned credit goes to waste
College transition support: class selection recommendations, orientation prep, and everything that comes next
Our enrollment is intentionally limited, and we keep our client roster small so that every family receives the attention they deserve. Spots fill quickly, especially for fall. We open enrollment in December/January.
If you're interested in working with us, we would strongly recommend reaching out sooner rather than later.
Complete the New Client Interest Form, and let's start building your student's path forward.
